Killer jailed for life for murdering rival is son of 1m benefits claimant who fathered 22 children

THE son of Britain’s most feckless dad was yesterday jailed for life for an execution-style murder.

Balaclava-clad Kane Hull repeatedly stabbed Ryan Kirkpatrick in front of horrified revellers in a packed city centre bar.

He and an accomplice then fled the country but police tracked them down in Ireland.

Hull was yesterday ordered to serve at least 28 years - the second of his dad Raymond’s sons to be jailed for murder.

Raymond, 66, hit the headlines when he dodged jail so he could help look after his 22 kids with 11 women.

The murderous assault in September last year came after years of bad blood between Hull, 29, and Ryan, 24.

Hull had previously served a jail term for attacking Ryan in a betting shop.

At about 8.30pm on September 18, Hull tried to glass Ryan in a bar in Carlisle, Cumbria, but was prevented from doing so by other drinkers.

Around 15 minutes later he returned wearing a balaclava and this time armed with a knife.

As his mate, Liam Porter, 33, held people back, Hull repeatedly stabbed Ryan and then pulled up his mask to show him who his attacker was.

Sentencing Hull, Mr Justice Linden said he “ran in with hood up and mask on, like an assassin, and with the knife drawn.

“You ran straight up to Kirkpatrick and stabbed him before he or anyone else who was present had any opportunity to react. You paused and then attacked for a second time.”

Ryan’s heartbroken mum Andrea Johnston told the court in a statement: “I hate the people that killed my son with every ounce of my being.

“They had no right to take my son’s life. They are little cowards, not real men.”

Hull and Porter, both of Carlisle, denied murder but were found guilty at Carlisle crown court.

Porter was ordered to serve at least 26 years behind bars.

Hull’s dad Raymond hit the headlines in 2014 when his 18-month sentence for dealing cannabis was suspended so he could help look after his 22nd child.

He later boasted he was the best dad in the world despite seven of his kids not knowing he was their dad and being unable to spell the names of others.

His brood cost the taxpayer an estimated £1million because he hadn’t worked for ten years.

Kane is the second of his sons to be jailed for murder.
