WWE fans left cringing as Tyson Fury struggles to snap a PEN on Raw after Braun Strowman smashes tab

TYSON FURY left fans cringing as the boxing star struggled to break a PEN on stage.

The heavyweight, 31, will make his WWE debut on October 31 when he takes on Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.

But based on the evidence, he has plenty of work to do before he takes on the 27st giant.

Fury and Strowman signed their contracts live in the ring at WWE Late Night Raw last night.

Strowman said: "I know you’re a hell of an athlete, but I also know you’ve got one of the biggest egos I’ve ever seen.

"You can say whatever you want to say, but I know the reason why you were at the premiere of Friday Night Smackdown, that’s because you were trying the steal some of WWE’s spotlight - some of my spotlight.

"I’ll be dammed if you’re going to use me as a stepping stone to further your career, so you listen to me right now when I’m talking to you, in Saudi Arabia, you’re stepping into my world.

"I’m going to pick you up and and slam you into the middle of that ring and give you your first loss ever.

"And you want to know the funny thing about it - there ain’t a damn thing you can do about it, because on October 31st you’re going to GET THESE HANDS."

Unbeaten boxer Fury - who could miss his rematch with Deontay Wilder for the £12million from WWE - fired back: "Do you know what Braun, I’m a fan of yours, I have been for a while, and you know why I was at Friday Night Smackdown with my family?

"We were there to see you, because for the last few months all my kids been talking about is how many trucks you’ve flipped over, the next table you’ll smash or who was the latest guy to get those hands.

"Braun you say you know a lot about me, so let’s get one thing cleared up now, I’m not out of my element in any ring, and you know the best thing about it?

"I’m going to prove that, at the Crown Jewel, when the heavyweight champion of the world steps into your ring, you’re going to be looking up off your back. Because I’m going to knock you OUT!"

After the exchange of trash talk and a face-off, the pair then displayed their respective strength to one another.

The Monster Among Men suddenly smashed through the table sending the crowd wild.

In response, Fury pulled out the pen, waved it around smiling and then tried to break it - but despite his overly-exuberant grimace, the pen refused to snap.

Finally, at the fourth time of asking, broke it and walked off smirking and chuckling.

Strowman raged: "What? You think that's funny, huh?"

But fans could not believe what they were watching.

@GetDaTables wrote: "To show how strong Tyson Fury is, they had him snap a pen in half."

@HygorBH said: "What was that with the pen? The cringe hurts!"

@MengsMullet added: "What the f*** was that thing with Tyson Fury and the pen? That was so awkward."

One user labelled it "embarrassing" and another went with "pantomime season" stuff.

@smartyido typed: "Errr get what furys up too but the cringe of that - even the crowd werent feeling the pen snap."

And others were less convinced by the whole fiasco.
